Electronics & High-Voltage Systems for Imaging

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the electrical and high-voltage systems integral to diagnostic X-ray equipment. Students will learn the principles of power distribution, the operation and service of high-voltage transformers, and various rectification methods. Emphasis is placed on understanding high-voltage cable integrity, tank maintenance, and the critical importance of safe discharge procedures. Through theoretical instruction and practical exercises, technicians will develop the essential knowledge and safety protocols required for competent and secure interaction with the high-voltage components of imaging systems, ensuring both equipment functionality and personnel safety.

## Course Description
This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the electrical and high-voltage systems integral to diagnostic X-ray equipment. Students will learn the principles of power distribution, the operation and service of high-voltage transformers, and various rectification methods. Emphasis is placed on understanding high-voltage cable integrity, tank maintenance, and the critical importance of safe discharge procedures. Through theoretical instruction and practical exercises, technicians will develop the essential knowledge and safety protocols required for competent and secure interaction with the high-voltage components of imaging systems, ensuring both equipment functionality and personnel safety.

*   **Safety:** Strict adherence to all laboratory safety protocols is mandatory. Failure to follow safety instructions will result in immediate removal from the lab and a failing grade for the activity.
